Pack Leader
Some people think that being dominant toward their dog is a bad thing. Believe me, any father will tell you that the more dominant, assertive etc (with love of course) that they were with their children, the better they turned out. The more positive structure they provided, the better. With animals, being calm and assertive is probably the best thing you could for them. Dogs need a pack leader, and in most cases that means YOU!.
There is no doubt in my mind, that if you just let your pets run wild, with no corrective discipline, your situation will continue to get worse. Dogs need “basic training”. They need exercise. If there are other dogs in the house, one of the dogs will try to be dominant. Ask Peggy how to handle this situation. She will come to your home, assess the situation, and make recommendations.
